Installation Drive & Folder Question

Post by maajr57 »

Does P3D have to be installed on the C: Drive in the Programs Folder? Can I install it on D: Drive outside of the Programs Folder?

Yes. As a matter of fact, never install it in C:\Program Files.....

Thanks Jorgen but why do you say Never when that is LM's default installation location?

Because it's then outside the reach of UAC, and life will be so much easier if you are outside that reach.

Seriously, it will save you a lot of trouble in installing add-ons. Why on earth they pointed the install path there, I don't know.
