Hi,
i have P3d V4 with the hotfix 1 installed.
I tried to update to V4.1 but when i try to uninstall the P3D V4 client the windows installer want the path to the old "install_client.msi" file.
I deleted the installation files a time ago and on the P3D download section there are only the new files for V4.1
So how do i update/uninstall my P3D client? Where can i get the requested install_client.msi?
System: Windows 10 64bit
thx for help

Re: Cant update to V4.1 or uninstall P3D
If you open "Add or remove Programs" you should see the Prepar3D v4 client listed. You can uninstall from here and then install the client upgrade.

@Rob McCarty: What you describe is exactly what i am trying to do, but to uninstall it the windows installer wants the path to the install file, without it i cant remove the client!

You can find the 4.0 client download on your downloads page here: https://prepar3d.com/purchased_downloads/. There is a legacy client download section on this page.

Thank you! I have somehow overseen the legacy download link :-)
Re: Cant update to V4.1 or uninstall P3D
With the old Install_client.msi i did now uninstall and updated the client to V4.1. S
Sadly the same problem stays for the content and scenary, they all want the old install_content.msi and install_scenary.msi for the uninstall process.
Can you provide these two files too on the download section?
Why does the uninstall process wants the install files on my system? Seems like nobody else have problems with this? :-/

Re: Cant update to V4.1 or uninstall P3D
Hi,
yes i resolved it after testing a lot around.
I testet a lot of uninstaller programms (also the Microsoft uninstaller programm without success).
But then i found a uninstaller that could uninstall the P3D components, i used the IObit uninstaller for this. After deinstallation of the components i could update to the V4.1.
But without a working uninstaller or the install files it was impossible to uninstall the componenets.
