Issue with hotfix 3

Hello,

I just downloaded the client update for hotfix 3. Installed it properly (I had done many updates so I'm aware of the procedure).

Everything was fine until I restarted P3D. I get the splash screen and then very quickly just a black screen. If I press [Esc] I get the menu but by clicking restart scenario I return to desktop. (I'm on Windows 10)

I tried uninstalling the client and reinstalling it one more time. Same issue.

I downloaded the full P3D installed it (without wiping all the files) did the full uninstall and install and still exactly the same issue.

I have the latest drivers from Nvidia and when I tried to updated Microsoft.net, I got a message that I already had the required version on the computer.

I'm really at a loss. Just a few minutes before doing the client update P3D was working well.

I have exactly the same Issue. I tried everything, nothing helps. The best thing you can do is waiting for a new Hotfix or another kind of support.

Thank you so much for your reply and advice. It did work!

After removing the three folders (after backup) my simulator finally started.
I just had to reinstall a few add-on like GSX and FSUIPC plus use my backup scenery config and everything is working like it should.

Same issues here after the update, tried everything including a complete fresh install.
P3D worked but as soon as I tried it the next time, a short loading screen (it says loading scenery objects) and then nothing.
Task manager shows P3D with a CPU usage of about 30% but nothing happens.
Win 10, GTX 1060, all the latest drivers and updates installed.

Update: I just managed to sort it out I think.
I opened dll.xml and deleted the FSUIPC entry, now P3D is working fine again (unfortunately without FSUIPC).
Pete seems to know about the problem but can't reproduce it by now.

I had also a crash with 4.961, reverted to 4.960 and it is OK , at least you will have fsuipc , you may need to remove all the files from Modules to tell the installer there isn't a newer version on.

All ok here:
FSUIPC4.961 (installed 2-3-17), Win7-64, P3D v3.4 HF3 all ok here.
