The current cockpit view, as currently implemented, is just an external view devoid of any aircraft structure except when panning. As someone who trains on multiple aircraft and has a simpit it would be nice to have a cockpit view that retained the window frame and glass structure and any external structure thats visible throught the window. For instance, for a single engine propeller driven plane having the propeller, cowling, compass, center or side posts, and the glareshield top edge visible, without the internal vc structure shown.
This would allow for multiple aircraft to be flown in the same pit and mimimal immersion disruption.
This can be aproximated using a combination of zoom and eyepoint position changes. However it's not always possible to create an acurate view due to aircraft variation of measurements.
Just a thought.
