For nighttime walkarounds and pre flights, finding the battery switch in a cold and dark cockpit, seeing instruments if there is a power failure or finding my keys when I drop them under the seat.
In 1990, I landed a OH-58 helicopter with a flashlight clenched in my teeth when the instrument panel lights went out.
A Flashlight Feature
Re: A Flashlight Feature
There is a freeware program that provides the pilot with a flashlight from Lorby SI. It is on the Downloads page near the bottom. The file name is: flashlight_1_02_b02.zip
Re: A Flashlight Feature
Or you go for a walk around with a pilot!
There is a freeware package called Airport Avatars: https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/t ... -v4-ready/. In addition to a marshaller and a falconer, this package also includes a pilot who wears a flashlight as a P3D avatar. The flashlight from Lorby-SI is also really good, we can only recommend it.
