I realize it will be a monumental task to update the navigational database but the simulator's are over 10 years old and causes problems when try to do a ILS approach and landing, not to mention using a FMC to control your aircraft.
This could be a update for version 5 or 6 down the road. Without an up to date navigational database, the simulator is nigh unto useless.
Update navigational databases
Re: Update navigational databases
Nav databases change all the time. Because of this it is a process to convert them into acceptable files for every aircraft you own, third party or not. I suggest buying a subscription to navigraph who will do the hard work for you and convert the latest databases into different formats. You can pay like 5 bucks for the latest cycle or you can have the subscription for when every new cycle cones out. The program will auto install them for you and detect which aircraft you have installed that needs to be updated. It's pretty neat.

Re: Update navigational databases
Google Herve Sors [aero.sors.fr] and you will find a uptodate nav data base for your sim. The only down side is that the Sim can't make a flightplan along airways no more because they will be removed [can be resett tot the 2004/2005 nav data base] This French guy is producing this data base every new airac. Also airport data is updatet. And talking about airways: the flightplans according to the default navdata isn't correct anyway so a good reason to remove them, have the new data and fly for instance using maps lik the enroute charts of SkyVector. That said, an official updatet navdatabase by LM would be nice. Even when it will be old in just a year or so.
