Only right turns (rudder problem)

Post by hdsavage25 »

I recently updated P3D to version 5.1. Prior to this, all of my aircraft worked just fine. After the install, all of my aircraft including the add on pay ware will only turn right. I have checked the axes 15 times to try and figure this out and I cannot figure it out. As soon as I throttle up, the aircraft just turns hard right. I will try to yaw the aircraft or turn using my SAITEK x-56 and it will not turn the aircraft (almost like it is inop). I have calibrated multiple times to make sure the rudder actually works, and it does. FSUIPC has NEVER been an issue and I only use it for multiple throttle configured aircraft. I have never set anything axis's up on FSUIPC for the rudder. In summary, the rudder/steering does not work anymore and I have tried what I believe to be is everything to fix the problem. Any help is appreciated.

@ hdsavage25 ,

Full version number for P3D 5 xxxyyy?
Version number for FSUIPC ?

Are you using any other software like Ezdok etc?

Are you using currently downloaded Saitek software to assign/calibrate the x-56?

Is your default flight the LM F-35A at KVPS?
Does the F-35A have the same problem?

It is version 5.1.12.26829

FSUIPC I found out is not the problem at all as I completely took it out of the equation by removing it from the add ons. Whenever I did this, the problem was still there.

I am not using any additional software other than active sky.

SAITEK software is all up to date with the latest software.

The default airport is correct as well as the F-35.
The F-35 has the same problem as well as ALL the other aircraft.

@ hdsavage25 ,

Do you have the X-56 USB's directly to the PC or a "powered" USB HUB?

For P3D 5.1.12.26829 did you only Update the Client?

No matter what I do ALL aircraft turn right as soon as I push the power up. FSUIPC has been completely taken out of the picture so it is not that. I have also installed and hooked up my Logitech rudder to take the joystick out of the equation and this did not work either. I thought I was savvy with this type of stuff but it has been 2 days now that I have had this problem and I cannot figure it out. All USB's are plugged directly into the computer.

Problem fixed. Somehow for my throttle axis assignments, the rudder was assigned to throttle movements. So that is why every time I pushed up the throttle the aircraft would turn. I knew it had to be something dumb like that. Thanks for the help!

@ hdsavage25 ,

I initially wondered how you did the several Calibrations.
