Best configuration for 5 monitor

Post by ClockComputer »

Hi, i have a little question for this configuration:

Processor: I7-7700K
Memory; 32 Gb DDR4
Vga: Nvidia GTX 1080 - 8GB
Monitor: 5 Dell UltraSharp FHD ( 1920x1200 )

With the 3 central monitors all right, the resolution is 5760x1200, I have about 30/35 fps.
But when I put the two windows in the two side monitors, fall to 5/7 fps.

I think the problem is given by the memory of the video card.
Do you advise me to buy an 11vb Nvidia 1080 Ti, or add a second 8gb Nvidia 1080?

This game suppport the Nvidia SLI?

Everytime you open a new view window your framerate drops with at least 40%.

I tried only with right view and left view, so as to simulate the windows.
But yes, at every window the framerate drops dramatically.
For me it is a problem of insufficient video memory.

The performance problems with this setup go far beyond just video memory. You will not be able to achieve a reasonable frame rate with five monitors on a single system.

There seems to be something else going on. I’m driving 4 1080 monitors for vc view. 1 usb monitor with the gps panel and 2 other usb monitors driven by airmanager. On top of that I’m using activesky, rex TD, TIR, and Spad next. All of this on an I5 and GTX 970. I certainly don’t have the sliders very high but not fully left either. I’m not breaking any records with performance of the sim but it’s certainly flyable.
