Oculus Rift Consumer Version and Virtual Cockpit

Post by robhoeth »

Flying with the Oculus Rift provides great presence in the virtual cockpit but I'm very disappointed the cockpit switches appear non functional in this mode. It would be great if the mouse could still be used with the HMD or even better the left hand touch controller with right hand on flight stick. Am I missing something obvious? It ruins the feel of presence to lift the HMD to look at the keyboard.

Hi robhoeth,

The current v3.4 native implementation does not support the mouse cursor in the Virtual Reality view.

Are there any intentions of supporting the Oculus Touch controllers in the future? These would obviously be preferred over a mouse.
