x56 SAITEK P3D PROBLEMS

Post by vikelu »

Heya folks hope someone can help me out

I brought an x56 and i have trouble getting the y and x axies to work. i installed it drivers first then software.

I have windows 10 64 bit

So heres what i did i tried fsuipc and the software and even windows controllers to calibrate it . but the end result the joy stick when i pull up or down or left right it wont register but it looks like windows thinks the c-stick button is the axis, anyway to change this ive tried everything.
even tried hard boots , regedit, changing usb locations.
the only think that registers are the buttons and when i use it for rudder.{twisting it left and right. }

Throttle works like a piece of cake but the stick is the problem. i have the latest p3d v installed.
but up or down is a no go. i was looking forward to flying with the x 56 so any help would be appreciated as i spent 275 on it.

Hello Laureano,

Have you tried calibrating your joystick from within Prepar3D via Settings->Controls->Calibration Tab->Calibrate Device? Do you see any response from the X or Y axis at this screen?

Do the x/y axis register in Windows USB controller's dialog? Also have you installed Saitek's drivers?

Try this program to test the joystick also:

I have the X56 and its working fine for me.

I would suggest contacting Saitek support.

(For me, in the test program, x/y are correct and c-stick maps to RX/RY bars.)

I contacted them i got the work around and they wanted me to video record what i was doing to send it to higher ups to evalute it but when i asked to speak to higher ups i was told they werent there. when you plugged it in it worked straight off the bat?
what were the steps you took?

I don't remember doing anything special. Just installed drivers/profile software.

Try the HOTAS community on reddit. I recall there was some way to reset the joystick or the c-sticks.

Edit:

But this is only for calibration. I am not sure it will help you.

If you bought from a retailer like Amazon, then just send it back.

Well, I put the boxes put of sight, lest the lady throws them out, until I am sure I do not need to return.

Try removing older Saitek drivers/software, if any present. For example I had for X52.

Hello! I am having the same issue with the C-stick and was hoping a solution was found. I've tried the following:

-Uninstall-Reinstall drivers and software
-Tried USB 2.0 ports
-Tried reboots
-Windows Reinstallas
-The standard Saitek troubleshoot for this issue

Hello Weston,

Which version of Prepar3D are you using? If using v3.4, you may want to try switching control API's to DirectInput via Options > Settings > Controls > Other Tab.

Thanks.
