Windows 10 update KB4041676 Crashes P3D v.2.5
Windows 10 update KB4041676 Crashes P3D v.2.5
I have Prepar 3D v.2.5 and the recent October 2017 Windows security update makes it crash after the 100% mark is reached when loading. Removing the update allows me to fly with no problems, but then upon exit of my session, the update is automatically re-installed. I can not find where to turn-off auto updates nor do I really want this to happen as I'm afraid my computer is now at risk because I've removed the update. What can I do? Scott Freeby

All I can do is tell you what I have done for v2.5. About a year ago I put v2.5 on an external hard drive. I am flying on 2.5 with a flight from Louisville, KY to Charleston, WV. The update has not affected my v2.5. So that is just a suggestion that I am giving you. Happy Flying. Duane.

to stop ALL win 10 updates Try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-bmRe0VEeQ
The updates are causing my v3 to crash, unless i spawn in with a"stock (baron) a/c, then select a add o (vrs FA18E)

Re: Windows 10 update KB4041676 Crashes P3D v.2.5
I am using V3.4 and I have had the same crashes after Win updates at 100% but I narrowed it down to my ORBX Global vector install, I have Global base, Europe land class and HD trees which all still work fine. The Win October updates do something to the ORBX GV and when I uninstalled it the sim works fine. Only thing is of course I don't have my GV. Some helpful member on the ORBX forums said it has to be up to Lockheed Martin to fix. Hope this is of some help.
