Please fix this!

Post by rob0203 »

Hello,

I have bought your Prepar3d V5 sim, I really love it, great update!

The only big problem is that my aircraft crashes everytime on approach into things which are not there. Another time I had a CTD on appraoch, for the rest great product but really annoying if you crash on approach into non exiting things!

The invisible wall bug is known and under investigation. For CTD's, they need a lot more info - what add-ons, where were you, etc. etc. etc.

Thanks for thé info, I only had a Ctd once but last 4 flights my plane crashed into something invisible.
For now I will just disable crash detection.

The same happend to me.
Different Airport, diff. Planes, diff. appraoches.
Sometimes it works good, somtimes something invisible hid me before touchdown.
A lot of paople have this Problem.
Hope they fix it soon with a Hotfix.

Ok now I did the same flight again to my home airport EHGG, with crash detection off. I thought finally a nice approach in Prepar3d V5.

Now on final I was slammed down into the ground by a invisible force? No stall warnings here in my Learjet 35a

Please fix this! The rest of sim is so great, but just not be able to land a plane after a wonderfull flight is really frustrating! This was flight number 5 in a row which I could not finish!

Robert,

Which approach / runway at EHGG?
Approximately what altitude / nm to touchdown?

It was IlS23 somewhere between 1000ft and 400ft.

But a crash before also happened on approach at KSJC.

It would be really helpful if people would search before posting, so that we don't have 500 threads about the same thing.

+1

No addons except Chaseplane and FSUIPC6.

This occurred on final to IG4 (Grand Canyon West) and on the Mach Loop low level route (near EGOV) at 1000 ft AGL

Whatever, it is really frustrating crashing on approach each time, after a few hours of flight! Thats why people keep posting!
Why did nobody notice this in a beta?

I still think though that this is the best simulator I have ever flown so far, but this needs to be fixed ASAP!

It seems that when you fly from a higher altitude airport into a lower altitude airport, this happens (don't quote me on that). Yesterday from LSGG (altitude 430m) to EIDW (altitude 85m) i had such a crash. Same when flying from LIME (altitude 238m) to DTTJ (altitude 19m) but, for example, flying from LTAI (altitude 51m) to LIME (altitude 238m) this doesn't happen.

I have experienced this in some more cases, when flying from a lower altitude airport into a higher altitude airport, all is fine but when doing the opposite, there is an invisible force which slams my aircraft into the ground.

But, again, don't quote me on that, i have a LOT of addons already running in v5 (ORBX, new meshes, over 30 airports, NGXu, etc) and something might be interfering, although i don't really think so.

Hi,
@Jameson : the same results as you on my side and that's probably due to slope runways on P3Dv5.
LM Team is aware and everybody hopes it'll be fixed with the upcoming HF.

Ok, I understand now!

Little bit annoying for me since I live in the lowest country of the world The Netherlands, for the most part we even live below sea level :)))

So only outbound flights for me for now ;)
