Hello David

Welcome to the Prepar3D Forum.

Check the Windows Event Viewer for any crash reports, You can get to this location by going to the Windows Search Box, type ‘Event’, click on Event Viewer, Once open, click on Custom Views > Administrative Events. You will notice these events are time and date stamped, See This Image for an example

Copy and Paste this code into your next reply.

Also, Have you tried updating or reinstalling your graphics driver ? Try the steps in the topic below

Hello David

Please try this step...

To eliminate a 3rd party Add On from causing you this Issue, Click and Drag both of these dll.xml files out of the 2 locations below and onto your Desktop, One at a time only Then launch Prepar3D and test after each one, This will temporarily disconnect your Utility Add On's from Prepar3D.

---
Local Disk (C:) ► ProgramData ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v3 - dll.xml

Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v3 - dll.xml
---

A quick way of locating these is to Copy the 2 set's of Text below and Paste them into your Windows search bar, One by One and click on the result, this will bring you directly to the correct locations

Move both dll.xml files out onto your desktop, One at a time then launch Prepar3D and test.

Let me know if this works and I will talk you through the rest

Code: Select all

%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

Code: Select all

%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

Remove all your add-ons first.

Then reinstall each 1 one at a time. Then run the sim a bit after each 1 is installed. When you start getting the issue you just found which add-on is the culprit. At that point you'll likely have to contact the add-on developer for a resolution/fix.
