Reinstalling Client question

I just bought PTA and I'm getting this "ERROR: shader file ... is not original Prepar3D shader and can't be used" error. The solution provided is to reinstall P3D Client to get back original shaders. My question is will this reset any other things, settings, addons? Will I have to reinstall any other addons also?

I get that PTA is popular, but isn't this what caused your problem?

Uninstall current client, install new client. There will not be an impact on your settings and/or addons but unable to assist with addon shaders... please contact developer of that product for support.
