Hello
So I'm doing a flight from Heathrow to San Francisco and at the moment I'm over Greenland with overcast cloud.
I've noticed that sometimes the sim flickers on and off. Comes and goes it seems.
PC is i5 8600k @4.9GHZ, 1080, 16gb RAM
Any idea why this happens?
Thanks

Re: P3D v4 Black Flickering
Hello Brit128,
It depends on how the developers chose to integrate their add-on with Prepar3D. The best way to know for sure is to contact or search the forums of the developers for your specific add-ons with this question. Some may need to be reinstalled, some may not.

Brady

Re: P3D v4 Black Flickering
I've enabled v sync and triple buffering and has seemed to fix the issue. (touch wood)
Re: P3D v4 Black Flickering
Hi Brit128
As stated in the other thread concerning flickering: Switching on Vsynch reduces fps significantly. Each fps reduction reduces or stopps flickering. There must be another reason. Can you confirm, that Vsynch "on" reduces fps down to about 10 as it does on my place?
Best regards
Urs

Re: P3D v4 Black Flickering
I didn't notice much difference, maybe 5 fps to 8fps less. My P3D settings are not on max settings.
It also reduced my GPU load so the card runs cooler now.
