P3Dv4.2 keeps crashing - PMDG Default

Everything was working fine until I updated to 4.2. Now P3D opens, initializes to 100%, goes to a black screen and I can hear the engines running,then crashes. Have uninstalled and re-installed. Windows 10 is up-to-date as well as my graphics driver.

Yes I've tried the debugging steps.
Update:

The default aircraft load just fine. To get add-on aircraft (PMDG) I have to go to "Scenario" and load the aircraft that way. Very strange!

I had CTD a few times too, but I deleted all the add-on payware and then reinstalled them. It all worked again.

There have been reports that certain add-on vehicles will not function correctly when set to the default. If you are experiencing this issue please reach out to these developers as well to see if they can reproduce the problem and release an update.

First of all, never set a PMDG aircraft as your default.
Second, there is an update to the PMDG aircraft to be compatible to P3D 4.2. Update via the Ops Centre.
