HUD View

Post by BlueYonder »

This should be a pretty simple question.

How do I create a view with just HUD symbology on a black background?

It looks like I want to create a panel to show the HUD. Is that right?

Our HUD dedicated projector is mounted sideways. Is there a way to rotate it 90 degrees?

Yes, creating a panel using an existing HUD gauge should work. Also another option is to use the "Virtual Cockpit Only" view located in the Cockpit view menu. This renders the entire virtual cockpit with a black background behind it instead of the world. This won't require any changes to aircraft configuration files.

Windows lets you rotate any monitor/projector connected to the machine in display settings. Changing the orientation to "Portrait" or "Portrait (flipped)" should correct this.
