[RESOLVED] Prepared 3D v4 0x80070642

Post by Hardy6 »

How do I fix this error. 0xx80070642.
Also says, source file not found: C:\user\stanfordkenyon\downloads\count 1.cab.\ verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
The problem I'm having with the 4.1 update. Didn't have this problem with v4. Any help. Thanks Stanford

Hello Stanford,

Have you tried checking the md5 checksums to ensure they match those listed on our downloads page? You can review this post for more detailed information on downloading/checking the checksums:

www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6313&t=126465

Make sure you are running the installer as an administrator.

Regards,
Brady

I'm on my second installation. The only thing I didn't do was turn off my antivirus. I'll try that. But I still got a error message after it was all loaded. All the files were where they need to be. Click on the down load file to finish, after it finished loading, got the error message.
why is this happening when v4 loaded with no problems. This will probably take a week before it find the answer. I hate this.
