Cockpit shadows really jagged in v4

Like the antialias setting isn't being applied to the cockpit shadows.

Most probably you will have to increase the setting for shadow quality.

Have shadow quality on ultra and still jagged..

go to prepar3d.cfg and change follwing line:

OPAQUE_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=2048

to

OPAQUE_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=4096

or if you have good GPU to

OPAQUE_SHADOW_TEXTURE_SIZE=8192

No problem ;)

Does increasing the shadow texture size in this way hammer fps ?

Also, is this setting seperate from ground and cloud shadowx ?

I've been running 4096 for quite awhile and noticed absolutely no impact on FPS. However, I'm running 1080p - not sure about 2K or 4K.

Anyhow, try it yourself and see. It's a change that can be easily tested on your own rig and reverted with no ill affects on the SIM whatsoever.
