v3.4.18 SLI major issue
Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
Anyone tried v3.4 Hotfix 3 yet with Nvidia drivers (at least 378.49) ?
Has it fixed the SLI issues?
I can't update mine until VRS has updated the Superbug.

I still have problems! It is strange:
After updating P3D with Hotfix 3 (only client.msi), everything seems to be fine. But after closing P3D and starting again, I still have a black screen. I can repeat the procedures every time?! Also I have problems with cloud shadows.
It's frustrating. I've already tried everything!

What graphics driver version do you have? You need Nvidia driver of at least 378.49.
Are you on MICROSOFT .NET FRAMEWORK 4.6.2 ?

Yes, the current driver 378.49 is running and I'm on 4.6.2

Have you tried deleting your .cfg file and letting it build a fresh one?xmosquitox wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2017 12:57 pm Yes, the current driver 378.49 is running and I'm on 4.6.2

Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
Yes, but still the same problem. Should I try the older driver version? Few days ago, I have reinstalled the hole system with a new and fresh windows system. But as you can see, the problem doesn't fix. ;)
Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
I don't think that will help because Hotfix 3 changed the P3D client and they worked closely with Nvidia on the new drivers.
Having said that, well, who knows, it may work !
I'm sorry that I can't help you more.

Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
I tried a older driver version. No solution. I think it is more a Hotfix issue than a driver problem.
1. Deleted all older drivers, profiles, cfg's and rebooted the system
2. Installed the new driver
3. deinstalled p3d client
4. installed the new client
5. started P3D, all OK
6. closed P3D
7. restared P3D (recognized a very short loading process, maybe scenery?)
8. black screen
Every time the same issue, no matter what I do. As I said, it makes no difference between installed add ons or an fresh stand alone P3D app. Unfortunately it is not possible to change to an older P3D version.

Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
I originally had this issue which was resolved and today has come back. I have 2x970s in SLI. Originally using nvidia driver 376.33 and was getting 6fps with the blinking menu and stutters. I updated all of my Windows update and the problem was resolved. Smooth flights with ~60fps with Very High Rob Ainslough settings.
Today I had updated my Nvidia driver to 378.49 and also on launching Prepar3D was alerted to an update that I didn't pay much attention to (unfortunately...) I updated and relaunched Prepar3D and the stutters have come back. Game shows ~58fps but acts like its 6fps with stuttering ALT menu and Shift-Z frames readout. I have tried to roll back the driver to 376.33 but the problem persists, leaving me to believe it was the update that I installed today...
Maybe this will shed some light for some others more in the know?
Current Prepar3D version after update and issue coming back is 3.4.18.19475 with SimConnect Versoin: 3.4.0.0

Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
Hi all,
I did the latest updates of P3D, Nividia driver and AS2016 and the performances not only are not improved but they have worsened.

Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
i have fixed the issue. i was running p3d 3.4.18.19475 because of the problem with the sli. and when the new update came out i went straight and update to the lasts and missed all the other updates between 3.4.18.19475 and 3.4.22.19868. and then had problem explained in my last post. i have now since uninstalled p3d and reinstalled full p3d new update and now works fine. im just guessing that could have been the issue that i missed the updates between them
Re: v3.4.18 SLI major issue
I came back to my old driver (368.22) and everything is fine.
My problem was not related to LM or HiFi but to Nvidia.
