[RESOLVED] NVidia + Intel HD graphics == Hang or crash

Post by frmalan »

P3D v3.2 (for me at least) hangs during startup if the Intel HD graphics is enabled. This has been the case with 3.1 as well. It would be really nice if this issue could be debugged (assuming of course it can be reproduced and not unique to my system). So when I disable the Intel HD device in device manager, all is fine in P3D land.

Intel 4790 (non K) cpu, 32GB ram
NVidia 780Ti (316 and new 364 drivers tried)
Windows 10 (64 bit) 1511 build 10586.164

I am using a 4K display and a 1080p panel. I would prefer to drive the 1080p panel from the Intel display. If I drive both from the NVidia, I get a max 50Hz refresh on the 4K screen. Using the Intel to drive the 1080p panel, the 4K screen runs at 60 Hz from the NVidia.

Do others with similar setups experience the same thing? (I did a squeaky clean 3.2.3 install with all data folders wiped beforehand)

Hola my friend
I had the same PROBLEM, disconnect the screen that is on the internal board and remain only NVDIA
a GTX 780 can quite bear 4 screens, I have a GTX970 with 5 screens 3 39, I have neutralized the intel HD

That is known problem with integrated GPU. If you really want keep your main card for main view, just buy some decent GPU like GeForce GT710 or so... is is enough and it works together very vell.
