PBR Metallic Map format

Post by Pyscen »

Hello...

A few simple questions: what dds format are the F-16 aircraft's metallic maps in? just so you know... ImageTool within the SDK is unable to read this particular format as well... or create a metallic map in the proper format, is this planning to be in future updates?

Thanks,...

Are you using the latest ImageTool provided with the latest P3D SDK (4.4.16.27106)? the ImageTool was also updated to handle the required Alpha channels (R,G,B) used by Metal Maps.

So you need to install the latest SDK in order to use the new ImageTool to handle PBR Maps.

Kind Regards,

This error occurs on all of the metallic maps within the F-16 Base Texture folder.
