Defining New Instrument Approach and Database Update

Post by Aviart »

Is there a way to upload a new instrument approach into the database for testing purposes and get an aircraft to fly it to view?, ie. defining approach name, tracking points starting from a STAR, including in database of points and available approaches.

eg. For fictional airport YAA1 with runways XX and ZZ
VOR RWY XX
NDB OR VOR RWY ZZ
NDB-A OR VOR-A
RNAV-Z (GNSS) RWY XX
RNAV-X (RNP) RWY XX
ILS OR LOC RWY XX
ILS RWY ZZ
GLS RWY ZZ

The database would probably need to be a temporary one, or rename the test to current etc. If the process can be done then I can manage the configuration control for the files and name of files.

Has anyone had any experience in doing this, know someone who has and can provide contacts?

Is anyone interested interested in exploring this? If so, get in touch.

If this isn't the right process (SDK) can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks.
