AI Models Attachment Points

Post by Simbol »

Hello,

Is there anyway to retrieve the all the contact point names from a given AI Model or SimObject? I am trying to determine the exact landing lights positions attached to any given model.

Many Thanks,
Simbol

Freeware Model Converter X:

https://www.scenerydesign.org/modelconverterx/

You can also use the built-in text editor under the Tools menu to exactly locate exit door locations

Hi Jab,

Thanks for the advice, I am aware of modelconverterx.

However what I am trying to do is to retrieve this information using the simconnect or PDK libraries, in other words I am trying to detect dynamically the attachment points during run time, I know there is a function that would retrieve me the XYZ location of given attachment point, but this function requires to pass the attachment point name which currently I am unable to retrieve.

Ideally I would like to obtain the list of attach points available for a model or simobject guid, etc.

Regards,
Simbol
