Simconnect Will Simply Not Work

So after installing a version of simconnect with the Dash-8 for v4.2, every other program that needs simconnect has stopped working. Active Sky doesn't work and Chaseplane gives me a dialogue box saying that it requires simconnect to run, yet when I install simconnect it still comes up with the error every time I try and load it up. Every time I load the sim I also get a Couatl error (0xc0150004) saying that it cannot start I've even reset my PC to try and flush the issue out but I've had no luck. Any of you got ideas?

have ya reinstalled the simconnects in the redist folder?
