Attaching a light to cockpit node

Post by AlexisVGR »

Hello,

I am trying to create a cockpit floodlight in version 4.
I created a spotlight effect, which I then attached to a polygon in my VC using the attachpoint tool, over the right hand consoles.

In the sim, though, the light appears at the tail and centerline of the aircraft instead of where it was supposed to be.

Another observation is that if I assign the VC as the normal model (exterior), the light appears where it is supposed to along the plane but is offset in its vertical position. The light also shines through the fuselage and onto the runway surface.

So the question is: are light attachments possible in the VC or are they exterior model only? If not, how can dynamic spotlights be placed in the cockpit, similar to what A2A has shown with their T-6?

Issue resolved.

The light scale was too large and that caused the bleedthrough.
