What triggers a Proximity Trigger

Is there a particular point on the aircraft that has to enter a designated area for a proximity trigger to fire or does it fire if any part of the aircraft enters the area?

It will fire if any part of the aircraft enters the area. This is checked using the bounding box of the aircraft.
