FSX Libraries

Post by JimF117 »

Can we copy the FSX libraries to P3dv4 and use them. Let's say I put them in a folder called "New Libraries". Will they still work for P3Dv4?

What is in the FSX libraries that isn't in the Prepar3D libraries?

FSX Libraries will generally work, but a library object is only used if there is an external reference to it in the scenery bgl file. You'll find a lot more discussion on topics like this in the FSDeveloper forum.

Thanks for the help. I have been looking in FSDeveloper Forum for someone else's posts like mine.

the libraries that I was talking about are not the ones that come with FSX, but addon libraries for FSX.

One way to find out, just add the library to ADE (see the ADE user manual) and add a building from the library you added to an ADE project, complile it and add it to P3D add on scenery. This is quicker than lurking in forums.
