LandWater Mask

Post by rsubers2 »

I have some photo scenery in TIF form that I am putting in place over the default scenery in an area. I have used the alpha channel to specify the boundary and in some cases it is soft (gradual transition from white to black) to have the photo scenery gradually transition to the default scenery. Unfortunately resample/P3D thinks the alpha channel is the also the land/water mask and makes the non photo areas water. Is there a way of suppressing that in the resample info file without creating another image file with a LWM that specifies all land and specifying it as the LWM. I have a bunch of images covering a large area and would have to do it for each one. I cannot use a nullvalue specification due to the gradual transitions.

I figured it out. I was doing a blend mask of x.4 when it should have been x.3. It is working fine now.
