I have successfully used ETOPO1 to get bathymetry and have no problem when the coastline is fairely straight and shallow.
However when the coastline is steep and curvy with quickly deepening waters such as in Norwegian fjords, I get the onshore land to subside below sea-level in a squared shape (probably the bathymetry pixel shape).
Does anyone know a way to solve this problem please?
Thank you for your kind assistance.

Re: Bathymetry ETOPO1 with land subsiding in fjords
I was eagerly hoping someone would reply to you with the answer Fred as I get the same issue using the Gebco data.
I have found that adding a height limit to the inf file when compiling with resample helps, but still doesn't completely eliminate the issue.
EG: "MaxValidValue = -1"
Really hoping P3D will make advancements in bathymetry and submersibles and perhaps unlock some of the mysteries in creating it.
Best wishes
Gary
