What is the DEM resolution that ships with V1.3 - original FSX or upgraded?

the DEMs dominate the data volume of any flight simulator - look at that other simulator that has 8 double density DVDs full of badly compressed unintelligent DEM - worse in Europe and NA but better in the Sahara than P3D. Since the download is of similar size, I doubt there is any larger scale change.
