Re: Increasing memory

That's not a 100% accurate answer. If memory is an issue, then yes it will help. I doubled my system from 16 to 32 and the sim performs better. So, I disagree that it won't... maybe it will, maybe it won't... but until you double your memory, you won't really know... and you've actually got nothing ...

Re: "Protecting Content" feature request

At the end of the day, a lock on the door to your residence won't stop a persistent criminal from entering your home and taking what is yours. Yet you still have a lock on your door, you still lock your door, and you still expect to come back to your home and find your belongings. At the end of the ...

Re: HF Radio Fequencies

Tuning restrictions may also be hard-coded into the aircraft's avionics code.

Re: Time Preview

The sim allows you to define the date/time in the sim when you start a flight, there should be no reason to use the time preview to change it back an hour unless you didn't set the correct time for your flight to begin with.

Re: How to Set/Change Realism Settings using SimConnect Interface

Not that I am aware of, realism is a setting stored in the scenario file.

Re: How to Set/Change Realism Settings using SimConnect Interface

I think you misunderstood me. When I stated I don't think it can be done, I meant that they haven't provided a way to do this. Also, anything like that setting that can be changed on the fly by the trainee is rife for cheating (for lack of a better word). I can see potential issues if it's exposed p...

Re: HF Radio Fequencies

So if we replaced the 118.000 with say 2.850 then the COM radio could be tuned from 2.850 to 137.000? Also, what version of Prepar3D was this first introduced in?

This can't be accomplished with the add-on.xml file in the user's documents folder area?

Re: How to Set/Change Realism Settings using SimConnect Interface

I do not believe there is a way to do that. Since this is software used for real world training, being able to turn off realism items "on the fly" may not be a good thing when it comes to certification. Just a thought.

Re: Again I cant start P3D

Do you have this issue with no addons running with the sim? The exception you're getting, according to your image, is "The string binding is invalid." I would first test the sim with no addons running, to see if it's the sim that is causing the exception. If it isn't, then I would bring ea...

Re: P3Dv4.5 Install Location

It would not install in the Program Files (x86) folder as that is the location that Windows place 32-bit applications. It will default to installing into your Program Files folder.
