That you want to change system variables is quite natural, i.e. FMS can not be done easyly without ?

Installing new hardware today we had similar issue. P3D v4.5 running nice, but every 2-3 seconds a black flicker. We use nVidia 2018 with 3 beamers on each 1600x1200 resolution.

Limiting the frame rates down below 40 did the job to stop this, vSync ON or OFF the same.

causes the wrong picture. <Shift> section does run OK.
