Re: How do i fix pixelated panels?? - P3D V5
This may help for the time being. Locate the file "panel.cfg" for the aircraft that has blurry gauges. For example: P3Dv5\SimObjects\Airplanes\<airplane name>\panel\panel.cfg Edit "panel.cfg". Find the section similar to: [VCockpit01] size_mm=1024,1024 pixel_size=1024,1024 Double...

Re: Scenery anomaly near KPVD - Providence, RI
I hope this gets remedied as soon as possible. As a native of Rhode Island, this pretty much ruins the experience of flying to any airport within the state. My brother is a retired Air Force C-130 pilot and likes to P3D fly into KOQU (Quonset State Airport - 143d Airlift Wing). This is a real immers...

2004FS,
Are you sure you have a 4790k CPU?
1) Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 (turboboost 4.4)
2) Integrated graphics - Intel HD Graphics 4600

Re: P3D V4 and shimmering blurry textures
Prior to V4, I used to run 4xMSAA and 4xSGSS (NI). Now I use 8xSSAA only (set in the sim) and do not see any shimmer at all in the VC. In nVidia Inspector, I have everything at default in the "3 - Antialiasing" section. In the section "4 - Texture Filtering", everything is at def...

Re: The aircraft is pulled to the left.
I experienced a problem similar to this when I updated to 4.2, but I think it was my stupidity that caused it. At first I thought prop torque was gaffed, but I experienced the extreme left pull no matter what GA aircraft I tried. I checked rudder controls/settings etc. - no change. Come to find out,...

LOD Radius > 6.5 and Photo Scenery
Can we please, please allow LOD greater than 6.5. I know there was an issue where array sizes couldn't accommodate higher LOD when P3D was 32 bit, but this certainly can't be a limitation now. In FSX, setting LOD to 7.5+ resulted in sharp photo scenery. This is by far my biggest complaint about P3D ...

Re: Huge FPS drop after BIOS update
You can use the freeware tool "InSpectre" by Steve Gibson (Gibson Research) to disable/enable Meltdown & Spectre mitigations that the BIOS/OS updates have introduced (I use it myself). InSpectre Info & Download https://www.grc.com/inspectre.htm If you prefer a more hands-on approac...

Re: Installing onto SSD Drives on my new PC
I have a 250gb SSD boot drive. It has the OS and AV on it (nothing more). I use a dedicated 500gb SSD for the P3D installation. I recommend that you do the same. Keep other apps and downloads on the HDD. Be aware that even if you install P3D on the 500gb SSD, it will still require ~15gb of space on ...

Re: Question
I doubt that you'd get the results that you want, but of course it all depends on settings. You'll still be limited by the CPU and GPU. On my system (see sig), I'm CPU bound with high settings and therefore lock my FPS to 20 to save on resources. I'd never be able to hit a constant 30 FPS unless I l...

Re: Cockpit shadows really jagged in v4
I've been running 4096 for quite awhile and noticed absolutely no impact on FPS. However, I'm running 1080p - not sure about 2K or 4K.
Anyhow, try it yourself and see. It's a change that can be easily tested on your own rig and reverted with no ill affects on the SIM whatsoever.

Re: Blurry Photoscenery
Yep, like you guys, I wish LM would address the photo scenery issue. I've stopped purchasing any more add-ons that contain photo scenery and disabled PS in existing where possible. It seems the problem arose with v3.x. I had hopes that the last update (4.1) would fix this, but it was not meant to be...

Re: Terrain blurries / unsharp ground textures
I'm a GA flyboy who likes sharp textures and very high P3D settings (sliders maxed, 4096 textures, 8xSSAA etc). To do this, I had to balance the load on the CPU by locking the frame rate to 20. Locking the fps at 20 still results in Core 0 at 95+ percent, but cores 2 - 8 now run at ~75%. My GPU load...
