Re: Multi Channel Benefits
In the right configuration Multi-Channel will offer significantly better performance.... I use WideView for my multi-channel setup. I run 4 computers....a server and 3 identical clients (left/center/right views). Therefore, there are 4 separate instances of P3D running. I do not use the server for a...

Sudden Left Bank
I have experienced this issue off and on for some time now. It happens in about one of every three flights. On final approach the aircraft will suddenly do a left bank. It lasts for only a second or two. It can be severe to the extent that it is barely controllable (60 degrees or more). It happens b...

Hyperthreading
I know the subject of hyperthreading affect on performance has been debated ad nauseum here and elsewhere. However I had not personally investigated such for some years now and was curious. My multi-channel setup provides a unique comparative testing platform. That is, I have 4 computers for running...

Have you tried WideView for multi-channel? Works reasonably well.

Re: Clients goes crazy, WideView
Your video shows only one client to be a problem, the other is OK.
I would guess that your server is not the problem since each client would behave exactly the same if it was.
Perhaps this is a network problem.....bad network switch or cable??

Re: Post HF2 - Sim load time issue still apparent
I had been plagued with similar issues regarding loading time. Previously I was operating with HyperThreading "on" (with no affinity mask). During the long loading process all cores were loading at 100%.......it was like the system was spinning it's wheels but not moving anywhere. I have s...

Re: Post 4.5 Hotfix install Very Long Load Times
Try updating your nVidia driver to the latest 431.36.
I have been struggling with performance problems (including long loading times) since 4.4.
The new driver has significantly improved scenery loading to an acceptable level. Others are reporting the same thing.

Re: Improved Performance in 4.5, but more freezes
That can't be a correct Directx version since the version numbering doesn't follow the MS scheme. The correct number scheme is xx.xx.xxxxx.xxxxx (for DX12) and x.xx.xxxx.xxxxx (for DX11). As several posters in your other post said, the current released version for DX12 is 10.00.10240.16384 . BTW, y...

Re: New DirectX Version: Improved Scenery Loading
Those file versions correspond to the nVidia driver files that interface with DirectX. Installing a new video driver will update the version, but probably won't affect performance in P3d4, unless one has purchased a new RTX "Super" video card. For example, my DirectX driver file version i...

Re: Improved Performance in 4.5, but more freezes
As I reported in more detail in another recent post..... I started seeing performance issues with P3D 4.4 that continued with 4.5. Issues included extremely long scenery loading, freezes approaching destination airports, and unexpected and unexplainable random crashes. These issues were the same on ...

New DirectX Version: Improved Scenery Loading
A new version of DirectX auto-updated on my 3 WideView client computers this past week. The only reason I even know about it is that the DxDiag window popped up when each of those computers booted up a couple of days ago (sort of odd since I never remember that happening before). The good news is th...

I am seeing the same thing regarding pauses due to scenery loading delays.

Re: Long Loading Times and CPU Core Performance Observations (v4.5)
After I read you are getting the BSOD (blue screen of death) I just skimmed over the rest. True, affinity flag should only be used in specific cases and in general is not recommended by LM as explained in a post by Beau Hollis. The BSOD is rarely if ever caused by software or networks; rather, it i...

Long Loading Times and CPU Core Performance Observations (v4.5)
With both 4.4 and 4.5 I have been plagued with extremely long loading times, particularly evident at highly detailed airport and scenery areas. This is an inconvenience waiting to load P3d at startup departure airports but has also manifested in issues with "blue screen" CTDs at arriving a...
