Hi all,
For Innsbruck (Austria), I did see two such "plateau" effects into P3D6.
Comparing with XPlane, these are in fact heliports, one of which being on top of a building.
Could you confirm coordinates?

Same issue into P3D 5.2...
Using ADE, I deleted 04/22 from the stock airport, recompiled, and added result into my "airport mods" folder. No more double runway at LECO!

LECO airport into P3Dv5.1.12

On my rig, this airport (stock file) shows 2 runways: 03/21, normal, 7175ft long, and a 04/22 (closed runway, 6356ft long), sitting on top of 03/21.
I have no scenery addon for this area...

Max, Thank you for coming back. As far as I can remember, same issue did happen on some few other airports, but I did not take note at these times... I did a fresh install of P3D latest version after uninstalling previous version, and have as far as I know no other addon modifying the original terra...

I have no specific scenery addon for NZ on my system.
I assume there is no apt background just because the airport looks like this :

Meanwhile, issue solved.
Using ADE, I deleted the offending "closed runway", excluded the former airport background, and created a new one around the 05/23 runway. No more spikes, no more "flying carpet" runway.

P3D 5.1.12 here, no airport addon for the area, other addons as per my signature. On my system, VETZ appears with an active airport and runway 05/23, and slightly east of the 05/23, a closed 04/22 is also showing. No luck so far with the terrain.cfg files... Either the P3D initial one, or the ORBX modified, trees and buildings on the runways. The only way I can find presently is, using ADE, to generate background Flatten Exclude Autogen (or Auto Gen Smooth) polygons very close to the runways, taxiways, parkin...

Max, Thank you for your answer. Did as suggested, terrain.cfg returned to 300 Ko, but did not cure the trouble on my system My screenshot named RPXU is a mistake on my part, the airport is in fact RPLZ... If my neurons are still OK, I understand the stock terrain.cfg is altered when installing ORBX ...

Simply looks somehow strange... If you did download the full v4 install package (4.5.14.34698), and used the setup.exe, you should have all components having same version number. Having the scenery with an older version number would mean you did partially upgrade an existing older P3D. Your install ...

Toposim mesh active, or inactive here, the airport lies at 800ft MSL, understand into a hole.
Skyvector reports the airport at 1231ft MSL.

Sorry, Just forgot one little thing... Into your Addon Scenery folder (or whatever name you have been choosing), just create two subfolders, named scenery, and texture, but leave them blank. They might be useful later for some other addons addition, and having them blank does not harm your computer....
