Re: Installation Looking for .msi
Well, wouldn't you know. If you install enough MVC Runtimes, it will work. I had a successful install and it wasn't the P3D installer's fault. It was my computer's fault... or the operator.

Installation Looking for .msi
I am trying to install P3Dv5 and after the installer gets past the Scenery, it expects me to navigate to "Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 X64 Minimum Runtime - 14.16.27024" each time I attempt to install. I don't have MSV C++ 2017 other than the Redistributable package. 1. Prepar3D version - Pre...

Re: A Flashlight Feature
There is a freeware program that provides the pilot with a flashlight from Lorby SI. It is on the Downloads page near the bottom. The file name is: flashlight_1_02_b02.zip

Re: how to start Us marine chopper
I assume you are referring to the CH-53. There is an Auto Start button on the 2D Overhead Center Panel that will take care of the engines. In the aircraft's folder, there is also a CH-53 Quick Start Guide that will walk you through the proper sequence if you prefer a more realistic process.

Re: No c130 planes
I believe the C-130s are located in the content portion of the download. If you only installed the client, then they will not appear.

Re: Jetways in P3DV4
If I recall correctly, most jetways are set at Dense or Very_Dense level of detail. I would start with checking the slider to insure that the Scenery Complexity is set to the Dense or Very Dense.

Re: Hard skin for ships
I believe the issue with the model. If it has "hard sides," the torpedo, I think, would explode when it makes contact with the ship. ModelConverterX can specify "hard sides" (platform) in a model. Some developers do not allow any modifications to their models or, at least, want s...

[RESOLVED] SimObjects v4
I'm trying to add a location for addon aircraft. Each time I've tried to add a line to the simobjects.cfg, none of the objects are available and the Prepar3d v4 w/ hotfix 1 errors. The sim loads but I'm in "Visualization Mode Only." Below is the entry I added to the simobject cfg file in t...

Re: P3D 3.4 with Hotfixes - Runs out of Memory
I had the same problem and tried many fixes that didn't work. Eventually, I backed up my Prepar3d.cfg file then deleted the one the program reads in the AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin folder. I no longer had the OOM problems but had to reconfigure my settings in the simulator. I didn't have time to...

[RESOLVED] Oculus Cockpit
I fly with two monitors: one for the Virtual Cockpit and the other for external. I usually use the external to cycle other views when needed. Since I updated to the Hotfix, my second window disappears when I'm cycling views and it gets to the Oculus Cockpit view. How do I prevent my second window fr...

Re: VTOL rcb-gauges
I was probably too quick to give credit to the update. After the update, I had to disable the VRS TacPack until it was updated for v3.4. After installing the TacPack update, my VTOL birds were not working again. I then disabled TacPack and tried the VTOL birds and wouldn't you know, they worked. Now...

Re: VTOL rcb-gauges
So with the update to v3.4, my VTOL rcb-gauges work again. I don't know if it was something in the update or if a setting was reset.
I am so happy to be flying VTOL operations again with the Wilco Harrier. The Virtavia MV-22 also works.
