Re: Snow outside of winter.

Thank you for responding Max! I can tell you what I see in sim, hope that helps a bit. If I start up the simulator on date 1st July, at LIQL in Italy (summer) with weather theme "Winter Wonderland" (to make it snow), the surrounding (landclass) countryside is all covered in snow. Now, if I...

Snow outside of winter.

I cannot figure out if there is a way to make a multisource ground polygon created with the resample tool respond to snow in the same way as landclass polys are now capable of. Something along the lines of "If it snows, display the hardwinter variant regardless of season". Anyone able to s...

Re: C-130J-30 Tail textures applied to external tanks

On the 130J-30, the rear navigation lights are placed inside the tail (approx. 2.1 meters too far forward), where they don't really do much good.

I'm seeing the same thing, agree it would be nice to lose the wing tanks, at least if they have to look like that. :)

Re: AI Traffic.exe Test

The folks at HiFi really need to find another way to ascertain simconnect running correctly in P3D - AITraffic.exe (in its compiled form) is not included in the SDK for neither P3D2 or P3D3, only the source code.

It is, however, included in the FSX SDK.

Alternatively, you can use PrtScn to copy the screen to the clipboard, and paste it into some paint program (even MS Paint).

Alt-PrtScn copies only the active window (instead of the entire desktop), by the way. ;)

Just skimmed through the SDK documentation, and realise that the Marianas trench was probably a bad example, as it is modelled pretty well already ... :)

Anyhow, fact still is that the water is much too shallow in many (other) places.
