Re: Tweaking hardware and p3d v4. Questions for Prepar3d
Thank you Beau for the quick response. This helps immensely. I was over 60 frames easy on vanilla install with no addons and with everything maxed. Now with Orbx and other addons, I have a hard time hitting 18 frames, especially when I am on an airport (like fsdreamteam JFK). Maybe I am wrong but I ...

Tweaking hardware and p3d v4. Questions for Prepar3d
Prepar3d V4 and Prepar3d V3 work differently and perform differently. This we understand. It would help if we understood not just how to better tweak p3d v4 but also how to tweak our hardware. It can also help us with our hardware buying choices. With that in mind I have a few questions regarding Pr...

Re: Prepar3D v4 is not starting (due to sound cards)
Hello, I had the same issue with audio preventing P3d V4 from starting and I was pulling my hair out to try and find a resolution. Whilst problem solving I decided to try installing a codec pack for Windows (typed a search and found a codec pack from www.codecguide.com (K-Lite) and installed the st...

Re: F-35 is a frame rate killer
Hi Oahmed, Every aircraft can affect performance in different ways. We do have a slight change in an upcoming hotfix that will possibility improve the F-35, but could you explain your system a little more - what CPU and GPU are you using? Regards, Adam Hi Adam, I have an i7 -3930K overclocked to 4....

F-35 is a frame rate killer
IF you have a fast machine and no add ons you may or may not notice this. I have ORBX and if I fly even from a default airport, I see a hit on my frame rates if flying the F35. Compare that with the F22 or F16, and the sim is very smooth. I installed the Kennedy airport by FSDreamTeam and I am getti...

Re: F-16 spoilers not working
Yep, noticed this also. If I keep my spoilers key pressed, the spoilers eventually open but the moment I let go, they close.
The key works fine on the other aircrafts, just has problems with the f16

Re: P3D V4 is not starting (possibly due to USB controllers/joysticks/keyboards or sound cards)
I was able to get it to work. I had to disable my sound card otherwise it would show me the splash screen and then back to desktop. I had already done the following. Uninstalled Prepar3d v4 from my ssd drive and re installed on a non SSD drive. Tried the [Control] EnableDirectInput=True Deleted ever...

Re: P3D V4 is not starting (possibly due to USB controllers/joysticks/keyboards)
Having the same problem. Disabled all USB Devices except for mouse and still no luck. Added the line in [CONTROLS] EnableDirectInput=True but no change. Disabled AVG Antivirus, and shut down the Saitek apps running. No difference, still can't get past the initial P3d V4 screen. It builds files for t...

<t>I purchased Prepar3d v2.0 yesterday and installed Orbx on it and played and enjoyed it. Then I went to my fsx folder, found some of my favorite aircrafts and moved them over to the Simobject/airplanes folder and they showed up. I flew them and enjoyed it even more.<br/> <br/> Today I came home fr...
