Re: Varjo XR-1
Joseph, I Appreciate the information. As I see it, since my project is somewhat time constrained, my options at this point would be to either obtain a Vive Pro headset for my mixed-reality work, or switch to BI Sim for the time being. At the moment, my preference would be to use the Vive Pro with P3...

Re: Varjo XR-1
Hi Joseph, Thank you for the reply. Could you please expand a bit on your answer? I'm not sure what you mean by, "This item is currently being worked". Are you saying that the issue is inherent in the software, and a solution will be forthcoming in another release, or are you saying that t...

Re: Varjo XR-1
I am attempting the same task as Andreas, and like him, am unable to recognize/load any defined portal using the XR-1. This is an important requirement in my work. Please let us know how this can be accomplished.
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Cigi and View Control
Hi Andreas, Nice to meet you. Unfortunately, I don't use the cockpits that come with P3D. When digital displays are required in sims that I work on, they are generally implemented using GLStudio, with sim data posted directly from my host. Hopefully one of the moderators will jump in to answer your ...

Re: Cigi and View Control
Crap. Never mind. I had a typo in one of the parameters for extended ID for the Bravo. Of course I found it 5 minutes after posting the question.

Cigi and View Control
using P3D v5.0.31 (hotfix 2) as IG using host based on CigiMiniHost that has worked with P3D Pro Plus version 4.5, and also worked with Blue IG using Cigi version 4.0 (used version 3.3 with BlueIG) No problem connecting, getting steady sof packets, but whenever I send a View Control packet, P3D jump...

Re: CIGI Articulated Parts - P3D as IG
Hi Brady, thanks for testing, and thanks for the reply. As long as I know that the features work when configured correctly, I'm happy to continue trying to figure out what the issue is on my end. I'll assume for now that when the articulated parts issue is resolved, I'll also resolve the camera offs...

Re: CIGI Articulated Parts - P3D as IG
Hi Clifton, The simulation is in synchronous mode. Yes, the sim updates, and yes, I'm sending the IGCtrl packets. Nothing would work otherwise. If you have the time, please take a moment to review the other threads I have recently posted to: (Cigi Crash when using P3D as IG, and Cigi Object Renderin...

Re: CIGI Articulated Parts - P3D as IG
Hi Clifton, thanks for the reply. I"m using my own host, based on the Cigi Class Library "CigiMiniHost" example. I am currently sending an Articulated Part packet every frame, modifying the left aileron setting. entityID = 0 ArtPartID = 2 (left ail, from the cigi art. parts. xml) ArtP...

Re: CIGI Articulated Parts - P3D as IG
Updated Observation: I can apply an articulated part deflection to the first packet received by P3D, but all subsequent packets are ignored. This is repeatable, and is not dependent on modifying the CigiArticulatedParts.xml. e.g., using Mooney Bravo. 1. Configure my host to send some deflection to t...

CIGI Articulated Parts - P3D as IG
Using P3D as IG, My Articulated Parts packets are being ignored. Packet mapped to entity 0, Articulated part enabled, correct deflection axis (pitch, for AILERON_LEFT_DEFLECTION, in this case) enabled. ArticulatedPartID = 2. I note that the provided CigiArticulatedParts.xml provides definitions for ...

Re: Cigi Object Rendering
Hi Brady, First, I'd like to thank you very much for your helpful reply. Your suggested workaround results in the object being rendered, and I can now move forward with my work on articulated parts. I'm grateful for your help, and glad that P3D is providing support for cigi. That said, I'd consider ...
