Correction please to KFTY
Hi. Fulton County-Charlie Brown Airport in Atlanta area (KFTY) is a prominent airport for regional general aviation. In P3D, there is an error in the scenery that has been there since at least FS98. Microsoft never fixed it. It has a blimp on the airport that is theoretically supposed to show where ...

Re: CH53E in V4.5
Usually, the problems you describe are caused by an incorrect mixture or RPM setting, possibly inherited from a Cold&Dark default flight, for example.
Try hitting CTRL+F4 and CTRL+SHIFT+4 to set both the "mixture" and the "RPM" to max, and see how your copters react.

Re: Rotating beacon
Yes you can see this issue in pure 4.5 clean install, which is what I did. Fly over Hurlburt field at night. You'll see it.

P3D 4.5 Power use on start up?
Hi guys, I noted when looking at task manager during load up of P3D 4.5 that it uses a ALOT of power. Also a lot of mem. this settles down once the gui comes up. Is this normal? For some reason never paid much attention to this in the past.

Updating to 4.5 Do I need to install content.msi?
Hi, I did the update from 4.4 to 4.5 by updating the client msi only. That is what the instructions said. However, I wonder am I missing out on any changes by not updating the content? What exactly is contained in the content thats new?

Default KLGA Laguardia airport problem
Has anyone experienced this with P3D 4.4 default airport LaGuardia Airport? The walls of the airport are there, but no complete building. I am using Orbx vector and landclass, and Dwerzecki Design NYC scenery. The airport however is default. I am using Ultimate Traffic Live for traffic. https://i.im...

Menu bar suggestion
Hi guys, I would like very much to be able to access the menu bar in flight by simple mouse over of the top of the screen then have it recede back to not showing once I am finished with menu selection. I believe X-Plane has a similar feature? This would be great since now I have to hide the menu bar...

Re: problem with PTA 2.63 and P3D V.4.4
I am assuming you backed up the original shaders with PTA? If so, I would restore the original shaders and flush the shader cache and see if that returns you to base level normal. Then start your tweaking again.

Rail traffic?
Hi. Wondering if it is ever planned for P3D to include railroad traffic in the sim similar to X-Plane 11? I find this to be very immersive and realistic to see.

Re: Night landscape
I am also interested in this. the sky (at least in my opinion) is much too dark. I would like to lighten it some so that the airplane is at leas silhouetted against the night sky similar to a full moon. As it is now, its just straight black. I do have PTA, so if there are shader tweaks that would fi...

Re: Aviation Flashlights
Oliver, I have been away for a couple of days on a short holiday. I just saw this tonight and played with it. its GREAT. Thank you so much for your efforts here. As far as Im concerned its a mandatory add for P3D. Really great. Very similar to X-plane but better, given the color flexibility and the ...

Re: Aviation Flashlights
i actually got what I want by changing the color parameters in the White wide FX file to these. [ParticleAttributes.0] Color Start=33, 174, 28, 37 Color End=33, 174, 28, 75 I just select white flood lights in the GUI and now I get green lights. Pending any changes to the tool GUI, I will just swap o...

Hi Oliver,
I saw that this was largely a gui for FX files. I will toy with those for my own use. Still, it would be nice to have a third color option along with red, which is green... :)

Re: Night Vision Goggles
One thing I did notice was in the external view I suggested, the sim seems to use this to replace the standard external spot view which I am assuming its doing because it uses the same GUID. For me this really isnt a problem since I use chase plane for most of my standard views. However, for good or...
