Uninstalled 2.4, deleted the folders, installed 2.5, worked straight out of the box....Very smooth. Good work.

I never went mad on ad-dons, I had a feeling the program format would have to change at some point.

I think it's a visibility issue with volumetric fog. If the visibility layer extends to (say) xxxxft, as you approach that level the layer edge becomes more defined. If you fly at exactly xxxxft the result is as your picture. As you move away from xxxxft it slowly disappears again.
