Re: Massive Performance Hit - Undocked panels
Thanks Rob. I really hope this can be rectified, as it has destroyed my ability to operate a load of extras on a separate monitor that is something I have been able to do since starting simming 7 years ago! It also prevents even opening a panel within the main sim monitor too! Thanks for your suppor...

Re: Massive Performance Hit
Thanks for posting the additional info. Do you notice any framerate changes when you first undock the panel or only after moving it to the secondary monitor? Also after closing the panel window does activating another application and then going back to Prepar3D bring the framerate back up? Does rig...

Re: Massive Performance Hit
Branko, exactly the same hardware as me and exactly the same issue, except.... my frames don't return to normal after a few seconds.

Re: Massive Performance Hit
Hi Rob, I have just noticed that yes, there is a framerate change when I first undock the panel, so the frame drop happens both on the main screen and the secondary monitor! Interestingly, with the PMDG NGX I am able to open all panels, both on the main screen and the second screen, without any loss...

Re: Massive Performance Hit
I HAVE FOUND THE CULPRIT. A bug in V4, possibly (?) When I drag a panel across to the second monitor from within the sim, so it maybe Active Sky user panel, ATC, or a GPS panel from within the aircraft, the frames crash from 30+ down to a stuttering 12-15 I have not experienced anything like this in...

Re: Massive Performance Hit
With respect Rob, that is not the problem. In all the years I have been simming, I have never witnessed any addon that would all of a sudden drop the performance of the sim from 30+ to 12!

Massive Performance Hit - Undocked panels
I have recently installed P3D V4 into Win10 and have only just begun doing any serious flying due to most of the time being taken up with installing addons. I have had four occasions now with the PMDG NGX, A2A Cherokee and A2A 182. Perfectly good performance and then for some reason immediately get ...

Re: P3D V4 Massive FPS drop after view change
ADD ME TO THIS LIST ALSO! I have created a separate thread also on this issue. I have recently installed P3D V4 into Win10 and have only just begun doing any serious flying due to most of the time being taken up with installing addons. I have had four occasions now with the PMDG NGX, A2A Cherokee an...

Re: LM Please Offer a Resolution
Hi fella,s this is now resolved. It was due to a third part mesh conflict with Orbx EU LC. Anyway, it's now sorted, so thanks for your help.

Re: LM Please Offer a Resolution
Thanks Brady, I've had some suggestions from the devs on Orbx site also. So tomorrow I will take a closer look. FYI Ed it's v4 and I have a 1080ti with 6700 @ 4.5ghz and 16Gb 3200ram OS and P3d 3.4 on two separate drives.

[RESOLVED] Morphing ground textures, black blobs - ORBX w/ third party texture
I am perplexed with the issue I am having. I have read many other reports of similar issues elsewhere on the forums too, so I don't think it's just me who is experiencing this issue. I think others have named the problem morphing, which I think probably describes the issue fairly well. It has got so...
