I am interested in upgrading my GTX 780Ti to the GTX 1080 For VR and multimonitor use. Does multimonitor simultaneous multiprojection in P3D require LM support and if so will it be implemented for Academic users?

No it isn't slow but even at 4.6 with liquid cooling and a GTX780 Ti I some times experience the same problem, i.e.limited FPS with a coasting graphics card but the one CPU core constantly maxed.and the others low use!
