Re: Problem with P3DV4 libraries

If you are writing about the scenery list entries and are using only the default ones: Just delete the Scenery.cfg file. P3D will restore a new one with the correct order.

Re: Scenery does not change after adding Orbx

With OrbX Central you can change the position of the OrbX scenery entries in your scenery.cfg - I'd choose (I haven't got the program here for the correct text to cite) to insert OrbX sceneries "at the top" (or "above" whatever entry you are offered). So P3D will read the OrbX sc...

Re: Scenery does not change after adding Orbx

... Yet the ORBX forum doesn't seem to be the best place to ask if there are any especial settings P3D may require for ORBX to properly display scenery. --- As far as I remember my first OrbX installings to P3D: there are no special settings required for P3D to display OrbX scenery. Try comparing a...

Re: P3Dv5.1 HF1 - Views keep zooming in to max - makes P3D unusable

You write that your problem started after installing GSX new version.
And you claim P3D to be responsible.
I'd thought it the other way round:
Without GSX - no problem.
With GSX - problem.
Who's to blame?

Re: P3D V5.3 Default Airports on Plateaus

It's a legacy of former Microsoft FlightSim versions, which did not allow bent (uneven) landing strips. So, if an airfield is on a slope with the runway crosswise to the sloping direction, at least one end will inevitably show a plateau.
OrbX Vector improves the situation, but not at 100%.

Re: P3Dv4 - I'v deleted my scenery.cfg and dll files

P3D stores several instances of scenery.cfg Somewhere on your HDD there IS a version of it. Most probably (and I don't know other locations) either at C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 or at C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 or at C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppD...

Re: Select plane error

Most disturbing. When I have the scenario-setting window shown at startup, there is no scenery or scenario loaded in the background (I use v5.3.etc). In the second attempt you chose loading a new scenario and are asked to quit P3D - ?!? My first idea is to delete all the setting files for P3D (maybe...

Re: Select plane error

Hi Shahar, In your video you enter the 'scenario' menu and choose 'end scenario'. That's a step, I've never done in P3D - ever. I only choose 'scenario' menu, item 'Load...' - I think, the choice of 'end scenario' forces P3D to quit this scenario and offer you a new start of the former one scenario ...

Re: v5 rollback to v4 for C310 installation

Try a Google search for "Migration Tool". Its a tiny program making your C310-installer believe you have P3D v4 and you should be able to install without problems. When having finished the installation, turn off the Migration Tool (set back to P3Dv5).

Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?

I know that LM would not give out informations about a possible new release.
But I'd like to add my vote in lodging my interest in a further development of P3D as a member of the P3D family. May this family shrink, but never give up!

Re: Prepar3D and TrackIR

Have you installed SimConnect.msi? (From the path <Prepar3D>\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib )
Then it should work - at least it does with my P3Dv5.3HF2.

Re: Prepar3D and TrackIR

What is your status of affairs?
TrackIR already working?
If not - did you use SimConnect.msi from ...\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib folder?
I had some issues to get TrackIR working - after installation of P3D, but (as far as I remember) that version of Simconnect solved the problem.

Re: Outside vs Panel Zoom

Hi Jeremy, I think you're talking about using a 2D panel-sight. That should enable you to zoom in and out your view without having the zoom effects (enlargement/reduction) of the panel itself. The only prolem is: I don't know, whether the default planes in P3Dv5 do have 2D panels, with third-party-a...
