Please share your experience: Performance VR IN P3DV5 on older systems
THIS QUESTION IS ABOUT SHARING YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH FLYING IN VR IN P3DV5HF2 ON OLDER SYSTEMS (LIKE 5-10 YRS OLD). If you have a pc like me, please share your experience what the performance is of flying in VR in P3DV5HF2 on Oculus Rift with a pc with a I5 3.9 ghz quadcore processor, GTX 1080, SSD a...

Re: P5D after hotfix: landscape stutters in VR
Is there already an idea what is still causing these landscape stutters in VR, for lack of a better word. When moving forward, pitching or rolling, the world around is moving unsmooth, in a consistent but stuttering manner, like it skips a frame between every other frame. Even when I turn every grap...

P5D after hotfix: landscape stutters in VR
I reinstalled P3D V5 (Including hotfix 1). I have a 3.9 GHZ I5 processor, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1080 GPU, Oculus Rift HMD. In VR: No flickering anymore but when rolling or pitching the landscape is stuttering (Tried F-35 and F-16, Takeoff from Airport EHAM). I turned all graphical settings to the lowest an...

Gaze Selection in VR: How does it work?
Please note: I have just installed 4.5 hotfix 2. I am trying out GazeSelection in VR. How does it work? If I look at something in the cockpit the cursor disappears after a view seconds. 1. Can I use it for push buttons only, or also to set rotary switches (up/dwn), the gear up/down, etc? 2. My secon...

Please support HP Reverb mixed reality headset
Please support the HP Reverb mixed reality headset, due to it's high resolution, which is very important to be able to read text on displays in the cockpit.Currently with the Oculus Rift, reading text is quite hard, unless you zoom in. Also in general, it would improve the overall VR experience.

Re: Align Aircraft seat with real seat
Dear Kayla I already knew about adjusting the eyepoint, I use that but it is not the same as staying automatically aligned with the seat. Turning off Momentum effects does nothing for me. Dear Jack I set the default dynamic head movement to zero, however it does not change anything. I am not totally...

Align Aircraft seat with real seat
During takeoff the pilot seat is not aligned with my real seat. The seat in the aircraft "leans backward" during takeoff but my real seat does not. Is it possible to compensate for this effect in the software? Especially in VR this is very noticable.

Re: V4.3 VR
1) Another dumb question: Now you can use vehicle panels in VR. What does that mean, I do not understand, 2) in pmdg aircraft with oculus VR, is it possible in VR to click on display panels or fmc to Let them popup in popup windows just as it works when VR is not enabled or as it works in flyinsidef...

Re: Stutters with Samsung HMD Odyssey/ Windows Mixed Reality
I think the following is needed to be able to fully enjoy VR/MR with flightsims, including complex scenery and complex add-ons: - 8K or 16K resolution - Around 200 degrees field of view, like the human FOV - A high graphics performance - Easier interaction with the cockpit VR is the future for fligh...

No I did not have that. I did have 6 DOF positional tracking as it should be.

Re: Windows 10 mixed reality
In stereoscopic view there is a lag between the two sides. This causes double vision stutters. Sometimes even one side freezes and the other side still works. This happens especially when using add ons like PMDG aircraft.

Re: Stutters with Samsung HMD Odyssey/ Windows Mixed Reality
Yes I know Windows Mixed Reality headsets are currently not yet supported. These headsets are just recently for sale.
But hopefully they will be supported soon by P3DV4. Interesting question is, will Lockheed Martin decide to support Windows Mixed Reality headsets in P3D? I definitely hope so.

Re: Stutters with Samsung HMD Odyssey/ Windows Mixed Reality
Update, after further testing (using PMDG DC6): The stutters are caused by the fact that (in stereoscopic view) one side can’t follow the other side. There is a lag between the sides. Also sometimes one eye side is frozen and the other still works. Hopefully this will be improved in the next update?...

Re: Stutters with Samsung HMD Odyssey/ Windows Mixed Reality
Update, after further testing If I use PMDG aircraft P3DV4 with the Samsung HMD odyssey/Windows mixed reality headset on low graphic settings, with or without flyinside fsx installed, in both cases P3DV4 freezes completely after 5 minutes. It doesn't matter if I use stereoscopic or monoscopic view. ...

Re: Stutters with Samsung HMD Odyssey/ Windows Mixed Reality
Now I found that If I use monoscopic view instead of stereoscopic, the stutters are gone except now I get double vision, which is not solvable by changing the PD.
