Re: KB4038788 crashes my P3D v3

There is a very simple solution for this without having to disable security updates. 1. Load P3D. 2. On startup screen leave everything as default and choose 'South Pole Station' as your airport and start. 3. Once its loaded (it won't crash this time) choose End Scenario > New Scenario and choose wh...

No OOMs here either. 64 bit not needed.

There is a feature request forum and this post should be there. Having said that I totally agree with you. I wish this could be developed soon.

Yes, no OOMs for me and generally very few people report issues such as this since memory was optimised in 2.2. Many who have issues tend to be using unsupported products.

<t>I think this is one of the key immersion and realistic feature missing from the sim. I think some add on planes might be able to simulate the effect but otherwise no, this is not simulated in vc mode in the simulator itself. Would like to hear LM view on this and whether it's in their future road...

Just a thought, try disabling volumetric fog (assuming it's enabled) and see if that makes a difference.

I hope they keep the new method option in. I don't have no spinning clouds because I fly only from vc airliner cockpits so if the old method is needed, it should be an option and not the only way. I love the new method. Clouds look great.

<t>Just a note, I have been having OOM errors with 2.1 but only when I do my test flight out of heathrow. Anyway I just did a San Francisco to Phoenix flight and no OOM and I am travelling between two big cities so I am happy since it appears to only happen out of London for me. I have my settings o...

I don't think 64 bit is needed right now. Optimise memory usage is a better option right now to prevent oom. Don't want to throw away my add-ons or delay upcoming p3d features

In your case the problem might be your airbus. Seen lots of people reporting AXE has a memory leak. Try another plane.

Looks like there is an issue with autogen then regardless of the add ons installed, I have set veg autogen to sparse and no OOM anymore. I could set it to dense in 2.0 so something has changed.

I think those of us having oom are using ftx global. It's autogen (veggie) is eating the memory. Was not an issue for me in 2.0 though
