Thanks Jorgen, that was my inclination. I guess the real question is; are the graphics bound by VRAM? It's not out of bounds to expect to run the simulator with enhanced atmospherics, PMDG, weather and an airport add-on given what other simulators are capable of today.

@martyson I removed all of the XML addins and P3D loaded. Bringing them back in one by one revealed that the culprit was LatinVFR's slopedrunwayAI XML. It's not compatible with 5.2.

I deleted the previously saved flights, still CDT (essentially the index screen is just gray, then crashes). Add-ins still appear to be enabled. Event Viewer still points to "mso20win32client.dll".
