I have good news and bad news... The good news...yes, you can revert to 4.4 from 4.5.12... The bad news is that the bad scenery problems manifest in 4.5.12 remain once you convert back... cutting down the graphics and frame rate seems to make it worse...ouch...I use a high end gaming machine with pl...

First the good news..I have found the culprit files in my P3D4.4 and they are: fx_wop2_p40_wake.fx; fx_wake_ss.fx; fx_wake_m.fx; and, fx_wake_s.fx All files are located in my Effects folder...to one degree or another they contribute to the problem.....
