Dual GPU question
We're running a multi-channel setup of P3D v5. The "scenery" PC uses two GPUs to run 5 monitors. The front 3 monitors are powered by a 2080Ti, and the 2 side 'windows' are powered by a 1080Ti. The 1080Ti experiences frequent crashing, and we are starting to wonder if the mismatch between t...

v5.3 "Improved road traffic performance"
Hello, The fixes and improvements for v5.3 include "Improved road traffic performance". This does not seem to be the case. With all road traffic enabled, performance (fps) is halved from v5.2. With highway only traffic there is no obvious improvement in performance. Testing on a multi-moni...

Re: New ATC Window
I have problems with the new hotfix every now and then, the ATC menu or gsx no longer react. @ Perfectflight , Not working when using the keyboard, the mouse or both? Mouse is fine. Activating the ATC window with the ~ key also works fine. It's the keyboard input (1-9) that is intermittently not wo...

Re: New ATC Window
Thanks for fixing No. 1.
No. 2 is still present - the ability to use keyboard input (1-9) to respond to ATC does not always work.
Also - screen flickering in a multi-screen, multi-monitor cockpit environment still exists when activating the ATC window.
Thanks,
Paul

Multi-monitor, ViewGroups and flickering
Performance and stability with multiple monitors using ViewGroups seems much improved. However, there is still a screen flicker present when activating the ATC window, changing views, etc.
Are there any additional tips that might help eliminate this?
Thanks,
Paul

New ATC Window
Appreciate the changes to the ATC (and other) pop up windows that have addressed crashing. Thank you. However, a couple of things that aren't working well for me: 1. The ability to deactivate (uncheck) the text output screen in the ATC window is no longer working. 2. Using the keyboard (1-9) to sele...

Re: Multi Screen Flicker
This has been reported as an issue in v5 as far back as May. Neither hotfix has addressed it yet, and it may be related to the CTDs associated with transparent window menus.
Hopefully LM are looking into it - as it would surely affect all multi-monitor installations of P3D v5.

Not for some: https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 2&t=138695
Maybe a non-related issue, but still VERY present on a multi-monitor setup using view groups.

Re: Short flickering by incoming messages
No solution, but I think this is a known issue eg, https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopi ... 2&t=138649
Unfortunately there was no change in HF2, but the hope is that LM are aware if this and other related and outstanding display issues and are working on it.

v5 HF2 screen flicker when activating ATC or scrolling text
Using a mult-screen environment, activating the ATC window or other pop up windows or when scrolling text appears, causes an annoying 'flicker' on some of the monitors. This phenomenon was not present in P3D v4, and is still present after updating the HF2 client in P3D v5.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

Screen flicker with banner text or ATC window
I'm running a multi-monitor set up for views and cockpit displays, including a CDU. When opening and closing the ATC window, or whenever banner text appears, all monitors momentarily 'flicker' off and on again. Perhaps it might be DX12 related, as the issue was not present on v4. I have just install...

Re: GPU requirements question
Thanks for your replies, I've experienced crashes at numerous locations in both Australia and Europe. The vast majority are preceded with a graphics error message and two of my 3 cockpit external view monitors 'blacked out', with options to ignore or cancel (though by that stage the crash is already...

Re: GPU requirements question
Apologies - just a clarification. The "CTDs" are preceded with a GPU error message, hence my question regarding GPU requirements for P3D v5. I should also mention I'm using a 3 monitor setup with my GTX 1070, and the 'crashes' usually show one or more of the three monitors inactive before ...

GPU requirements question
I have a GTX 1070 with 8GB memory. Is this considered within the P3D v5 "system requirements" specifications? The reason I ask is that I've adjusted my settings down to give me somewhere between 50% and 75% GPU usage (as reported in task manager) while flying over reasonably complex defaul...
